It has been a month since I started my new position in April. Now that it’s May, I\u2019ve begun working to expand the mushroom network here in Miyazaki Prefecture!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since I don’t have a car, I’ve been getting a lot of help from the industry-academia-government collaboration manager, who kindly drives me around. \ud83d\ude97<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting the Miyazaki Prefectural Forestry Technology Center to introduce myself. \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entrance sign at the center was absolutely charming. \ud83c\udf44 I’m sure I’ll be working with them closely in the future. \ud83d\ude47<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, I visited Okada Shoten, a well-known wholesale company specializing in shiitake mushrooms, to introduce myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next time, I hope they’ll let me try on one of their famous mushroom hats!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And\u2026 I was lucky enough to get my hands on some shiitake p\u00e2t\u00e9! \u2728 I definitely need to write a tasting review soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For lunch, I had yakiniku at Makaran-ya<\/em>!
They keep it simple \u2014 just beef tongue and horumon (offal) \u2014 but it was absolutely delicious. \u2728
